The multi line strategy to solving sudoku is similar to whats commonly know as "Double Pairs" but it is admittedly harder to notice.
It works pretty well the same way as double pairs, but the possible candidates can be spread out amongst two of the different blocks.
Also there is a possibility that there could be more than one candidate in each line.
